101 Financial Earns a BBB Rating of A+

HONOLULU (August 4, 2009) - Last year, Hawaii's Better Business Bureau launched a new ratings system that made it easier for consumers to quickly and easily find trustworthy business. All businesses in the BBB's database now receive an A+ to F letter grade instead of the old "satisfactory or unsatisfactory" rating. The ratings system is based on a formula that takes into account more than a dozen elements that are weighed as factors the BBB considers important attributes of business reliability and trustworthiness, and evaluates businesses in categories such as:

A business' length of time in operation
Any known government actions against a business
Any advertising issues found by BBB
The number of complaints received by BBB from a business' customers
A business' overall complaint history with BBB
Whether BBB has sufficient background information and clear understanding of business
Whether the business is a BBB Accredited Business
Whether BBB Accreditation was revoked because the business failed to comply with agreed BBB standards
